Volunteer: Make a Difference
“When you volunteer, you vote everyday about the kind of community you want to live in.”
Volunteer in Jenkintown. The more volunteer support, the more our community thrives. Meet your neighbors, network, and make new friends. Residents, business owners, property owners, and community supporters with vested interest in Jenkintown are encouraged to become involved in building our future. How can you get involved? Here are some ways.
Help with our Upcoming Events:
June 22, 2010: Annual Jenkintown Summer Sunset 5K Run & Walk. This 5-K runner’s brings nearly 400 racers to town for a winding race through our tree-lined borough. Last year with the addition of a 1 mile fun walk we rerouted the race and celebrated a finisher’s crossing on our Town Square with music, food, and prizes for all age groups. Volunteers are needed for blocks of time between 4:00pm and 8:30pm. Come and join us for a fun-filled event.
September 19, 2010: The Jazz & BrewFest has expanded. For 2010, we have added a juried arts and crafts show to the venue. It is now Jenkintown’s Festival of the Arts. It is a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon and experience great talent and taste in Jenkintown. Spend some time tasting brews of your choice in the brew tent, listen to some local musical talents, or take an art stroll through Jenkintown. Volunteers are needed prior to and day of fest (blocks of time between 9:00am and 7:00pm). Join us for one of the most happening events in town.
