Center for Integrative Health opens in Jenkintown

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

Jenkintown Psychological Associates (JPA), founded in 2000, provides individual, family and marital counseling to a diverse population throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Our mission emphasizes a highly personalized and respectful understanding of the stresses that our clients face. Our providers place the highest priority on developing a collaborative relationship with our clients in order to develop a clear and coherent program of treatment and to provide the necessary supports throughout the treatment process. We also work to ensure that our efforts are coordinated with ongoing medical treatments, educational services and spiritual philosophies. JPA works with most insurance providers.

Over the last decade, empirical research has demonstrated the importance of ensuring that human issues and problems are best diagnosed and treated in a coordinated and comprehensive manner. The most up-to-date approach involves an “integrated” approach to healthcare. This is best accomplished by integrating both traditional Western medical and psychological treatments with complementary healing practices that incorporate the psychological, emotional and spiritual capacities of humans to heal.

JPA is please to announce our transition from a traditional program of mental health treatment and wellness consultation to an expanded program that includes additional healthcare activities that are designed to optimize our clients’ physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing. The JPA Center for Integrated Health will now provide the following new programs:
