Spring into summer with the annual Jenkintown Summer Sunset 5K Run on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, presented by the Jenkintown Community Alliance and Kiwanis Foundation of Jenkintown Children’s Charities. Come out for some family fun and support a great cause. The winding 5K loop runs through the beautiful, tree-lined borough of Jenkintown. Individuals, families, groups and teams of 4 or more persons are encouraged to participate.

My son and I attended your 5K last evening as our first ever 5K. I have to say what a great event and everything was run beautifully. The volunteers, police, township and participants were outstanding. My niece won third place in her age group and my mother-in-law also won third place for her age group. The gentleman giving the awards was very understanding as well. My son who is 4 was upset he didn’t win an award. I approached the man with my mother-in-law’s medal and asked if he could announce a special award for the youngest participant. And he did which made my son’s night. We look forward to attending again next year.
